Why Cannabis?
Cannabis came into my life at a time when I was battling relentless pain and suffering from Lyme Disease. For years, I struggled with debilitating symptoms that left me exhausted, in constant pain, and searching for relief that traditional medicine couldn't provide. Pharmaceuticals came with side effects that often felt worse than the illness itself, and I was losing hope of ever reclaiming a sense of normalcy. That changed when I discovered cannabis. It wasn’t just an alternative remedy—it was life-changing. Through careful exploration of cannabinoids and holistic wellness, I found a path to healing that I never thought possible. Cannabis helped me manage my symptoms, regain my strength, and, ultimately, achieve remission from Lyme Disease.
Experiencing firsthand the power of this plant transformed my perspective on health, wellness, and the industry as a whole. I knew I wanted to dedicate my career to advocating for cannabis, not only because it saved my life but because I understood how deeply it could impact others facing their own battles. As a photographer and storyteller, I saw an opportunity to merge my creative passion with my mission to normalize and elevate the cannabis industry. I wanted to use my skills to capture the beauty, craftsmanship, and authenticity of the plant while helping cannabis businesses build credibility through professional visuals. Humboldt Cannabis Photographers was born from this vision—to provide the industry with the professional imagery it deserves while celebrating the plant that gave me my life back.
Choosing a career in cannabis was never just about business—it was personal. My journey with Lyme Disease taught me resilience, and cannabis was a key part of my recovery. That’s why my work in this industry is rooted in purpose. Every photograph, every campaign, and every collaboration is an opportunity to shift perceptions and break the stigma that still surrounds cannabis. I want my work to help educate, inspire, and empower both consumers and businesses, ensuring that cannabis is recognized not just as a product but as a lifeline for so many people. Beyond my work as a photographer, I want to be an advocate, helping to end the stigma and connect people with the health possibilities of cannabis. This is my way of saying thank you for my second chance at a happy, healthy, and pain-free life.
